Hybrid Celica?

A Piston Heads article reports that some future Toyota to replace Celica will have a third generation hybrid power plant.
Many of the comments indicate that the public still doesn't get it about the torque available with electric drive. Comments on Gizmodo were even less gracious and equally ill-informed.

2008 is awfully late. The pure electric amp-heads have been smoking rubber for years. I look forward to the day when muscle car enthusiasts get more out of their electric motors than just a crank.
